- THE NEW CALENDAR.We will list board meetings and community events here, but we encourage anyone who has an interesting event to share with your neighbors to add to this, too. It could be events
coming in Woburn or nearby towns, your church's spaghetti supper open to the public, or your own open house to celebrate Aunt Tillie's 100th birthday. Use our Calendar Form, fill out the information, and Submit it. You will soon see it added to the Calendar..
- BOARD MEETING MINUTES. A new addition to the site is monthly financial reports posted along with the Minutes of recent Board Meetings. It includes information strictly for owners and is password protected. Please Set Up Your Password if you have not already done so. The minutes through July 2009 have now been posted.
- BOARD MEETINGS are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5pm in the meeting room in the Maintenance Garage adjacent to the rotary below Vine Brook Plaza. If you would like to place an item on the agenda or observe a meeting, contact Kathy Asmar at APT at 781-932-9229, x222.

- MARY CUMMINGS PARK.
The Mary Cummings Park adjacent to Quail Run was given in trust to the City of Boston in 1930. The trust specified that the land be kept "forever open as a public pleasure ground." It is a good place to visit if you walk for exercise, but wear appropriate boots during mud season. This past summer was a mud season from beginning to end. It is accessible through a gate in upper Vine Brook Way.
Boston has considered trying to break the trust and sell it for development. Considerable progress has been made in the past year to legally protect the land and the Trust. Another movement is afoot to build 300 apartment units on the Northeastern University land that drives a wedge down the middle of the Mary Cummings Park land close to Quail Run. Court decisions in the past year have restricted this development downwards from an earlier attempt to buiild up to 540 units. The economy is also helping slow down moves towards development of the Northeastern land. The Quail Run Trustees and concerned members are working to see what more we can or should do about these twin threats in order to protect our property values and quality of life in Quail Run. See our Cummings Park page and the Friends of Cummings Park web page for more information.
